Dr. Jayaprakash Rajendran

Dr. Jayaprakash Rajendran is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of expertise in mental health care. Committed to providing comprehensive and personalised care, Dr. Rajendran works collaboratively with patients to create treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term well-being. His compassionate, evidence-based approach is complemented by his extensive experience in various healthcare settings, which allows him to deliver holistic mental health support.

Since joining Priory in 2021, he has brought a wealth of experience from both NHS and private psychiatric care settings. He holds substantive consultant positions across multiple Priory hospital sites, including Woodbourne and Barnt Green, in the Birmingham area.

Dr. Rajendran’s qualifications include a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry (2011), confirming his expertise in adult mental health. He also holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Psychiatry (2003). Additionally, he is an Approved Clinician under the Mental Health Act (2009) and a Section 12 Approved Doctor (renewed in 2021), allowing him to assess and make decisions about patient care under mental health legislation. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1995.
