Mr Henry Burnand

Mr Henry Burnand is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in complex trauma and limb reconstruction. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to restoring function and improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing debilitating musculoskeletal conditions. His clinical practice encompasses both elective reconstructive procedures and urgent trauma care, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and tailored treatment pathways.

In his clinical practice, Mr Burnand focuses on a wide range of complex lower limb conditions. His areas of expertise include the management of lower limb deformities, such as rotational and axial malalignment, as well as leg length discrepancies and post-traumatic deformities. He is also highly proficient in treating longstanding bone infections, fracture-related infections, non-union, and implant failures. Additionally, he performs primary hip replacements and revision hip surgeries, utilising advanced techniques to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Mr Burnand began his medical journey by completing his primary medical qualification at Swansea University, graduating in 2008. He subsequently pursued advanced academic research, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Bristol in 2017, where his research focused on trauma outcomes. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS).
