Mr Hemanth Kumar Venkatesh

Mr Hemanth Kumar Venkatesh is a highly qualified Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in trauma and orthopaedic care. He provides comprehensive diagnostic and surgical management for patients experiencing a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, joint disorders, and traumatic injuries. Dedicated to patient-focused clinical excellence, Mr Venkatesh works closely with individuals to restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance overall functional outcomes.

His clinical practice encompasses lower limb joint surgery, with particular expertise in primary and revision total knee replacement, partial knee arthroplasty, and robotic-assisted knee procedures. Mr Venkatesh also focuses on complex primary and revision hip replacement, joint preservation techniques, soft tissue knee reconstructions, and regenerative treatments such as cartilage repair. Additionally, he manages complex trauma cases, sports injuries, and a range of minor orthopaedic procedures, including steroid injections, tendon repairs, cubital tunnel releases, and trapeziectomies.

Mr Venkatesh earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1998 from Bangalore Medical College. He completed higher specialist orthopaedic training, earning the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Orthopaedics. Advancing his postgraduate credentials in the United Kingdom, he completed a Master of Surgery (MCh) in Orthopaedics from Teesside University and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Edin T&O). He has further refined his clinical expertise through sub-specialist fellowships in knee surgery and lower limb arthroplasty, and he is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Association.
