Dr Helen Teixeira

Dr Helen Teixeira is a dedicated Consultant Urologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with a wide variety of urological conditions. With a focus on delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care, she evaluates and manages health concerns affecting the kidneys, bladder, urinary tract, and male reproductive system. Her approachable and reassuring standard of care ensures that patients feel well-supported at every stage of their investigation and treatment journey.

Specialising in uro-oncology, Dr Teixeira provides specialist management for patients with cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, testicles, penile tissues, and adrenal glands. She also possesses significant clinical interest in benign prostate disease and bladder outflow surgery, routinely performing procedures such as Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and bipolar Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP). Her practice encompasses minimally invasive surgical techniques, diagnostic evaluations for urinary dysfunction, and treatments for urinary incontinence.

Dr Teixeira earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh) degree. She successfully completed surgical training to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and went on to attain Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology, FRCS (Urol). In addition, she is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), maintaining continuous engagement with modern surgical advancements and high standards of clinical care.
