Dr Helen Jefferis

Dr Helen Jefferis is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in urogynaecology and female pelvic floor disorders. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, placing a strong emphasis on restoring quality of life and delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. Her primary areas of clinical focus include pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and childbirth-related pelvic floor trauma.

In her clinical practice, Dr Jefferis offers both conservative management and advanced surgical interventions tailored to each individual patient. She possesses expertise in laparoscopic keyhole reconstructive procedures for pelvic floor dysfunction, including uterine-preserving techniques as an alternative to traditional surgery. Her expertise spans diagnostic hysteroscopy, pelvic floor repairs, cystoscopy, hormonal therapies, and the management of bladder pain syndrome and recurrent urinary tract infections.

Dr Jefferis earned her medical qualification from Imperial College London in 2006 before completing postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Thames Valley region. She subsequently undertook subspecialty training in urogynaecology, developing advanced skills in minimally invasive surgical techniques. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the British Society of Urogynaecology, actively contributing to clinical research and medical education.
