Dr Helen Alabede

Dr Helen Alabede is a highly accomplished Consultant Community Paediatrician who serves as a Clinical Director and Lead Clinician for children's services. With a career dedicated to supporting the health and development of young people, she provides expert care for children presenting with a diverse range of complex needs. In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr Alabede is a dedicated Medical Advisor for adoption and serves as the Designated Doctor for looked after children across several regional authorities, demonstrating her deep commitment to vulnerable youth.

Her clinical practice focuses primarily on general community paediatrics, with a particular emphasis on child development and neurodevelopmental conditions. Dr Alabede specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of neurobehavioural disorders, including autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She also provides comprehensive care for children experiencing developmental delay and those with complex genetic syndromes, ensuring a holistic and supportive approach to each patient's unique journey.

Dr Alabede completed much of her specialist paediatric training across several prominent regional healthcare institutions in the East of England. She completed her specialist training and was appointed as a Consultant in 2016. She is fully registered with the General Medical Council and is on the Specialist Register for Paediatrics.
