Dr Gladstone Burke

Dr Gladstone Burke is a highly regarded Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Oncologist who is dedicated to providing compassionate, child-centred care. Specialising in the field of Paediatrics, he has a particular clinical focus on childhood cancers and blood disorders. Dr Burke is committed to delivering reassuring and comprehensive support to young patients and their families, ensuring they receive the highest standard of medical care during challenging times.

His clinical interests lie predominantly in paediatric oncology, with a specialised focus on childhood lymphomas, including mature B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Burkitt lymphoma, and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Burke is heavily involved in leading-edge clinical trials and research aimed at developing novel therapies for relapsed and refractory cancers in children and young people. His work in this area helps to advance treatment options and improve outcomes for paediatric patients.

Dr Burke completed his medical degree (MB ChB) at the University of Edinburgh in 1991. He subsequently earned a PhD from the University of Bristol in 2004 and was awarded a Master of Arts in 2015. He holds several prestigious professional memberships, including a Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, which he obtained in 2005, and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, awarded in 2007. He also became a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 1996.
