Mr Giuseppe De Santis

He is  accredited with all major
 private health insurance companies including BUPA, AxaPPP, Aviva, WPA and
 Vitality. Once an appointment has been made, pre-authorisation will often be
 provided by your insurers for the initial appointment.

Mr De Santis has an interest in laparoscopic and other ‘minimally
 invasive’ surgical treatments for a wide range of disorders involving the
 gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder diseases, inguinal hernias and umbilical
 hernias. These procedures are performed open or laparoscopically.

He also specialised in UGI tract pathologies as hiatus hernia,
 dysphagia and conservative/operative management of reflux disease.

Since 2019 He has been a Consultant Surgeon based at Mid Cheshire NHS
 Foundation Trust, specialising in Laparoscopic, General and UGI Surgery. He
 has performed thousands of operations including laparoscopic cholecystectomy,
 hernia surgery and anti-reflux.

He has special interest in trauma and emergency surgery beside his
 special interest in UGI and Laparoscopic surgery. A massive earthquake in
 2009 destroyed his city L'Aquila, Italy. This event left a big impact on his
 personal life and my surgical training, as a result of being on the
 first-line (surgeon) in a natural disaster zone. That unfortunate event
 pushed him to my limit, trying to dohis  best in supporting patients and others
 caught up in the crisis.

He serve as a consultant at the highly regarded Cheshire Gut Clinic -
 A Leading Gastroenterology Clinic.

The NHS side of his practice is based at Leighton Hospital. He sees
 patients from adjoining parts of Cheshire and Wales.
