About Mr Sajal Rai
Sajal Rai is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with a special interest in laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery. He undertook specialist colorectal surgery training at the University Hospital of Leicester and was awarded the Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree in 2007 by Leicester University.
Mr Rai has an interest in Pelvic floor disorders and offer laparoscopic ventral mesh rectopexy for rectal prolapse, as well as other procedures for rectal prolapse. He also specialises in disorders of the intestines, in particular those of the colon and rectum. His particular area of interest is treating these disorders by keyhole or laparoscopic surgery and he is now offering Robotic surgery for bowel cancer and other benign bowel disorders.
Mr Rai treats common anorectal conditions like haemorrhoids (piles), anal fissure, anal fistulas. He offers HALO procedure as well as the Rafaello procedure for haemorrhoids. He also offers endoscopy procedures like Colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and gastroscopy.
