Dr. Gihan Jayasinghe

Dr. Gihan Jayasinghe is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in lower limb conditions, with a focus on hip and knee surgery. He is dedicated to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care tailored to each individual's lifestyle and mobility goals. Dr. Jayasinghe works closely with patients to help relieve joint pain, restore movement, and enhance overall quality of life, using both non-surgical and surgical treatment options.

As a highly trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Jayasinghe provides comprehensive care for a wide range of joint disorders and musculoskeletal injuries. His clinical interests encompass primary total hip replacement, direct anterior approach hip replacement, and complex revision hip surgery, alongside partial and total knee replacements. He also utilises advanced computer-navigated techniques and minimally invasive options, such as Arthrosamid injections, to manage knee osteoarthritis and joint degeneration effectively.

Dr. Jayasinghe earned his Bachelor of Science with Honours from King's College London in 2005, followed by his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from St George's Hospital Medical School in 2011. He later achieved a Master of Science in Musculoskeletal Sciences with Distinction from University College London in 2019. After completing extensive specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr & Orth) in 2022. He further refined his sub-specialty expertise through a prestigious elective orthopaedic fellowship, training alongside leading international experts in advanced joint reconstruction.
