Alongside his private practices, Mr Nik Bakti works as an NHS trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. He specialises in shoulder and elbow conditions and has a particular interest in the fixation of traumatic elbow, clavicle, and shoulder injuries. He is skilled in shoulder arthroscopy including diagnostics, impingement, rotator cuff repair, frozen shoulder, and ACJ arthritis. He also performs shoulder replacements and elbow nerve and tendon releases. Mr Bakti is interested in the use of the latest technologies available to deliver consistently excellent patient outcomes.
After graduating from Guys, Kings, and St Thomas' Medical School in 2008, Mr Bakti completed his surgical training in Oxford and Kent before earning a master's degree in orthopaedics from the University of Sussex. He went on to complete his fellowship in Perth, Australia, during which he was able to gain valuable expertise in shoulder and sports orthopaedic surgery.
Mr Bakti practices at Benenden Hospital, KIMS Hospital, One Ashford Hospital, and Sevenoaks Medical Centre. In addition to his consultant roles, Mr Bakti is a lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University.
