Dr Gabriel Whitlingum

Dr Gabriel Whitlingum is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician specialising in paediatric neurodisability and community child health. In his role as a Paediatrician, he provides comprehensive and supportive care for infants, children, and young people presenting with a wide range of developmental and neurological needs. Dr Whitlingum is committed to delivering holistic, patient-focused care that supports both the young person and their family throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic journey.

With expertise in neurodevelopmental care, Dr Whitlingum focuses on the assessment and long-term management of conditions such as autism spectrum conditions, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, and neuromuscular disorders. He also holds a strong clinical interest in complex paediatric feeding difficulties and multidisciplinary neurodisability support. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, he creates tailored care strategies designed to optimise every child's physical development, functional capabilities, and overall quality of life.

Dr Whitlingum completed his primary medical qualification in London, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1996. He attained Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 1999 and subsequently awarded a postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability. To maintain high standards of clinical practice, he holds professional memberships with several esteemed organisations, including the British Paediatric Neurology Association, the British Academy of Childhood Disability, and the British Association of Community Child Health.
