Dr. Francis Brooks

Dr. Francis Brooks is a highly accomplished Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon who specialises in the comprehensive management of complex spinal conditions. With a patient-centred approach, he provides expert care for a wide range of adult and paediatric spinal issues, including spinal trauma, spinal tumours, and infections. Dr. Brooks is dedicated to delivering reassuring, high-quality care, utilising advanced techniques to help patients regain their mobility and improve their overall quality of life.

His clinical practice encompasses all aspects of adult degenerative spinal conditions, such as disc herniation, facet joint degeneration, degenerative lumbar spine disease, and discogenic pain. Dr. Brooks also has extensive expertise in treating spinal fractures, osteoporotic fractures, and soft tissue injuries, including whiplash. He is particularly interested in minimally invasive spinal stabilisation techniques, which aim to reduce recovery times and improve surgical outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Brooks completed his medical degree (MB ChB) at the University of Dundee in 2005. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Health Sciences, specialising in Trauma and Orthopaedics, from Warwick University in 2013. In 2014, he achieved his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCSEd Tr & Orth). To further his expertise, he completed two internationally respected fellowships. Dr. Brooks is an active member of several prestigious professional organisations, including the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, the AO Spinal Society, and the North American Spinal Society.
