Dr Emma Torzillo

Dr Emma Torzillo is an experienced Consultant Neurologist and Neurophysiologist who provides comprehensive care for individuals presenting with a wide spectrum of neurological conditions. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and compassionate, patient-centred care, she delivers precise diagnostic assessments and tailored management plans designed to support patients navigating complex health challenges with clarity and confidence.

Dr Torzillo completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney Medical School in 2011, having previously earned a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) degree. She subsequently undertook specialist training in Neurology across major medical centres in Australia and the United Kingdom, receiving the Australian & New Zealand Association of Neurologists Fellowship to complete her post-graduate training. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as a Neurologist in 2018 and has since completed multiple sub-specialty clinical research fellowships focused on complex epilepsy.

Her primary clinical focus concentrates on epilepsy, particularly refractory or drug-resistant epilepsy that remains challenging to manage with conventional medications. Dr Torzillo possesses specialist expertise in clinical neurophysiology and the thorough pre-surgical evaluation of candidates for epilepsy surgery. Through a meticulous and collaborative approach, she aims to optimise therapeutic strategies, minimise seizure activity, and enhance overall quality of life for her patients.
