Dr Emma Burnhope

Dr Emma Burnhope is a highly dedicated Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in heart failure, heart muscle related diseases, and advanced cardiac imaging. With a patient-centred approach, she is committed to providing comprehensive care for individuals experiencing complex cardiovascular conditions. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of cardiac issues, with a particular focus on diagnosing and managing heart muscle disorders and implementing advanced cardiac devices to support heart function.

Throughout her career, Dr Burnhope has been at the forefront of introducing innovative diagnostic techniques to improve patient outcomes. She has successfully developed advanced stress echocardiogram and cardiac MRI services, providing patients with highly accurate, non-invasive methods to assess coronary artery disease. Dr Burnhope completed her medical training at the University of Southampton, where she was awarded her Bachelor of Medicine (BM) in 2007. She went on to obtain her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in London in 2010. Demonstrating a deep commitment to clinical research and academic excellence, she also earned a PhD in cardiac imaging and MRI from King's College London in 2021.
