Dr. Elham Asgari

I have trained as a nephrologist and general physician in South London. I completed my PhD at Guy's hospital looking at the role of the innate immune system in ischemia/reperfusion injury at the time of kidney transplantation. I have been a consultant since 2013 initially working at St George's hospital and practicing as a nephrologist at Guy's hospital since 2015. In addition to my clinical role at Guy's, I am the lead for audit and governance in our department. Nationally, I am the chair the British Transplant Society Standards and Guidelines Committee and oversee the production of new guidelines in transplantation as well as updating the existing guidelines.
