Dr Edward Hind

Dr Edward Hind is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician who provides compassionate and comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people. Focusing on evidence-based medicine, he diagnoses and manages a broad spectrum of general paediatric health conditions. Dr Hind prioritises clear communication and collaborative care, working closely with parents and carers to ensure young patients receive tailored support throughout their development.

Dr Hind has a strong clinical interest in Paediatric Endocrinology and children's diabetes. Serving as a Lead Consultant in paediatric diabetes, he plays a key role in delivering multidisciplinary care for young individuals living with endocrine and metabolic conditions, including type 1 diabetes. His expertise covers continuous management, patient education, and specialised transition clinics designed to support teenagers as they navigate the move from child health services into adult medical care.

After completing his qualification in 2007, Dr Hind has maintained a strong commitment to clinical education and professional governance. He serves as a formal representative for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH). Additionally, he contributes to medical training as a District Tutor for Paediatrics in the Wessex region and acts as a Medical Student Liaison for Child Health, helping to uphold high standards of paediatric care and train future healthcare professionals.
