Dr Thivi Maruthappu

Dr Thiviyani Maruthappu is a GMC registered Consultant Dermatologist based in London, UK. She has over 16 years of clinical experience and over 10 years of experience in dermatology.

She completed her medical degree in 2005 from Oxford University and Imperial College London. She then underwent training in Dermatology at a range of teaching hospitals, including the prestigious Imperial College London and University College London. She later completed a PhD and Fellowship in Medical Dermatology at the renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology and a PhD certificate in Nutrition Science from Stanford Medical School, USA.

Her post-qualification training allowed her to develop her expertise in Dermatology. She currently practices as a Consultant Dermatologist at the following private hospitals and clinics:

Dr Maruthappu's approach to dermatology is holistic, as such she takes her client's lifestyle and nutrition into account when developing treatment plans for conditions such as: acne, psoriasis, severe eczema and hair loss. She also offers her services to individuals with moles and skin cancer. She has expertise in minor surgery and the removal of skin lesions.

Outside of the clinic, Dr Maruthappu is an advisory expert for the global beauty brand Procter & Gamble and is a Dermatologist for L'Oreal. She is also a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation and is regularly featured in various media outlets including The Sunday Times, Daily Mail and BBC Radio.
