Dr Sherine Mikhail

Dr Sherine Mikhail is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a private practice in London, at The Harley Street Clinic & Leaders in Oncology Care; HCA at UCH; The Blackheath Hospital;  and Nightingale Hospital; and an NHS practice at North London NHS Foundation Trust, where she has been awarded 7 NHS Clinical Excellence Awards; as well as Highly Commended Doctor of the Year Award in 2019. With her vast experience in Adult Psychiatry, Dr Mikhail offers an in-depth consultation and tailored approach to your wellbeing, including medication and psychological therapies. She has close working relationships with highly experienced therapists to deliver your therapy needs. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress-related disorders, personality disorders and psychotic illnesses such as schizophrenia and delusional disorder.

She graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1994. Whilst undertaking her medical studies she also gained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 in Immunopatholgy from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine. Dr Mikhail furthered her training in her chosen field of psychiatry with membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1999, followed by fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2011, and a Diploma in Criminology from the University of London in 2005. She has been heavily involved in medical education and as a Consultant Appraiser, and she was a panel member of medical students' Fitness to Practise hearings at University College London from 2009 - 2023. Dr Mikhail was also chair of her NHS Trust Drugs and Therapeutics Group from 2012 - 2023. She has also published in peer-reviewed journals.
