Dr. Hemma Velani

Dr Hemma Velani is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist at Kidswell Health in London. She specialises in mood and anxiety disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD and autism, and the interface between physical and mental health, with specialist experience in paediatric liaison psychiatry and crisis and risk management.

Her practice is collaborative and family-centred, drawing on multidisciplinary working with paediatricians, educators and social care professionals. She follows a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to care, building calm, supportive therapeutic relationships and ensuring children and their families are heard and involved throughout assessment and treatment.

She holds an MBBS from Cardiff University and a BSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from Bangor University. She is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and completed specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry in North West London.
