Dr Sandeep Bawa

Dr Sandeep Bawa graduated in 1997 from the University of Edinburgh. Dr Bawa completed their specialist training in both Rheumatology and General (Internal) Medicine from Oxford. He was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow in 2010, and  Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in 2015. Dr Bawa was awarded “Medical Professional of the Year 2017” and again in 2019, at the Scottish Asian & Business Awards.

Dr Bawa has broad clinical experience in all areas of Rheumatology, from arthritis through to connective tissue disease, gout and all forms of musculoskeletal pain. They provide a complete range of Rheumatological treatments including: intra-articular (joint) and soft tissue injections, intravenous therapies, immunosuppressive treatments, disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, and the latest biological therapies. Using a multidisciplinary approach and evidenced based medicine, Dr Bawa believes in delivering the highest standards of personalised patient care.

Dr Bawa also has a specialist interest in Sports Medicine, having completed their Masters at University College London. He has skills both in acupuncture and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He provided Medical Support to the London Olympic and Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
