Dr Robert Hadden is a Consultant Neurologist specialising in peripheral nerve diseases (neuropathies). He holds NHS Consultant posts at King's College Hospital where he runs the specialist peripheral nerve service, and Maidstone Hospital. He welcomes patients suffering from a variety of neurological conditions including headaches, epilepsy and MS. He has a particular interest in peripheral nerve diseases, including inflammatory neuropathies, small fibre neuropathy and vasculitic neuropathy.
He began his career at Cambridge University studying Medical Sciences, and in 1992 was awarded a medical degree from Oxford University Medical School. He completed his specialist training in neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, and other London Hospitals. His research into Guillain-Barré Syndrome led to a PhD, and he remains active in research today.
He is currently President of the British Peripheral Nerve Society, Honorary Secretary of the international Inflammatory Neuropathy Consortium, and co-chair of a group of international experts writing new guidelines on treatment of Guillain-Barré and CIDP.
