Dr. Rina Davison

Dr Rina Davison has been a consultant for over 20 years at Whipps Cross and Bart's Hospitals, where she specialises in endocrinology and diabetes. She also sees patients privately, in East London, and at the Shard and The London Bridge Hospital. Her special interests are Polycystic ovarian syndrome, female hair loss, hirsutism, pituitary disorders and thyroid problems and her research interests include diabetes and thyroid problems in pregnancy.

Dr Davison qualified from St John's College, Cambridge, and trained at Guy's, The Royal London and UCH hospitals. Her MD thesis researched premature ovarian failure, and she has written numerous paper about polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She has recently been appointed as Deputy Medical Director at Barts Health Trust, following posts as clinical lead for diabetes and endocrinology at Whipps Cross hospital for the past 10 years and Clinical Director in medicine at Bart's Health NHS Trust.

She is a National Clinical Champion for Diabetes UK and has appeared on TV discussing diabetes. She is also an adviser to the Daily Mail on various health issues including female hair loss and has written numerous articles for the newspaper and health sections of women's magazines. Dr Davison is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, the British Endocrine Society and Diabetes UK.
