I am a Consultant Rheumatologist with more than 20 years of experience helping people with arthritis, autoimmune conditions, osteoporosis, chronic pain and complex musculoskeletal disorders.

My clinical practice is based on a simple principle: every patient deserves to be listened to carefully and treated as a whole person, not simply as a diagnosis.

Many rheumatological conditions affect far more than the joints. Pain, fatigue, sleep, physical function, work, family life and emotional wellbeing can all have a significant impact on health. For this reason, I take a holistic approach to care, working closely with patients to understand the full picture and develop an individualised treatment plan that reflects their goals and priorities.

I  see patients with the full range of rheumatological conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, gout, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndromes and unexplained musculoskeletal symptoms.

Alongside my private practice at The Wilmslow Hospital, I am a Consultant Rheumatologist within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where I have led the development of an award-winning inflammatory arthritis service. I am also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education as a Senior Honorary Lecturer at The University of Manchester and have held a number of regional and national educational leadership roles. In my spare time , I enjoy spending time gardening , walking in Cheshire and time with my family and friends.
