About Dr Prashant Kant

Dr Kant graduated from Leeds medical School in 2001 having undertook all my training within the Yorkshire region. He has an interest in all aspects of gastroenterology and regularly carries out consultations for patients with oesophageal disease, reflux disease, dysmotility, Barrett's
oesophagus, helicobacter pylori, gastric ulcers, coeliac disease, IBS, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

He is proficient in many procedures including, capsule endoscopy upper GI endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. He has particular specialist expertise in advanced and more challenging endoscopic procedures such as the successful removal of advanced colorectal,
gastric and duodenal polyps. He has strong research interest out a period of research, having been awarded a PhD from the University of Leeds following his study into the links between obesity and bowel cancer.

Qualifications

Dr Kant grew up and was educated in the Great Manchester area. He moved to Leeds to pursue a medical degree at the School of Medicine at the University of Leeds. He then proceeded to spend all his post-graduate training and eduction in Yorkshire, returning to the University of Leeds to complete his PhD in colorectal cancer.
