Prof Murphy is an excellent communicator and his expertise and manner puts you instantly at ease. He does not hurry the appointment in any way. I have now had two very helpful consultations and am approaching surgery informed and confident.
Professor Murphy greeted my sister and me with great care and professionalism. As this was our first meeting, I felt understandably anxious; however, he quickly put me at ease. He is a wonderful and highly knowledgeable professor who explained my case, the procedure, and the expected outcome with clarity and patience. I left the appointment feeling reassured and optimistic, confident that I am in very good hands for a full recovery. Thank you so much for your care and support.
Recent surgery for Hipec and cyto reductive surgery. Jamie is a fantastic surgeon and person. He operated on my husband on 16th Feb. 2026. When we first met Jamie in January he was so easy to talk too. He explained everything very clearly and was honest. He gave us time to ask plenty of questions and made us feel at ease. I cannot thank Jamie enough for the excellent surgery he has carried out on my husband. This man is truly amazing. Professional and kind and super positive. I would highly recommend Jamie.
Prof Murphy has always been very professional, explained everything clearly, and able to successfully operate on me when other major cancer hospital was unable to operate. He is very thorough, thoughtful , and an excellent surgeon.
Professor Murphy is a world class surgeon. My case is an extremely complex and rare one - a 4 year survivor of metastatic pancreatic cancer with extensive spread to the liver and peritoneum. Professor Murphy agreed to take my case on and perform radical and complex cytoreductive surgery which has not been done in the UK before. He gave me great confidence that he would get all the cancer and keep me safe and kept to his word. The operation took 18hrs but I recovered very quickly largely because of his expertise in carrying out the surgery. My journey continues to have complications and I have seen him a number of times since, where he always offers compassionate and actionable advice. He has become a crucial part of my team and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I had an excellent experience with Dr Jamie Murphy. He was kind, professional, and very attentive. He explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout my visit. I truly appreciate his care and would highly recommend him.
Despite the cuts and bruises (post surgery), Prof didbshow that he knew his onions. He intelligently interrogated the post ops experience that i didn't cover in my feedback to him. I feel relaxed and can talk freely with him about my post ops experience. He is one of the good guys. Not stuck up and unreachable like some consultants
Informative and supportive. Clear plan for treatment
