About Dr Evangelos Russo
Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr Evangelos Russo, has been based at Imperial College Healthcare Trust since 2017. His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of polyps in the colon, diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, and chronic diarrhoea investigation and management. Dr Russo also runs a clinic specialising in microscopic colitis, a common but often overlooked cause of chronic diarrhoea. He also has clinical interest in inflammatory bowel disease, which was also the subject of his PhD, as well as the investigation and management of GI issues such as dyspepsia, reflux, and changes in bowel habit.
Dr Russo is skilled in a wide range of endoscopic procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and polypectomy, as well as BRAVO pH monitoring and endoscopic full-thickness resection.
