Dr Ed Leatham

Dr Ed Leatham is a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician. They have practised cardiology since 1998. Dr Leatham was previously a lead clinician and R&D lead at a hospital in Guildford, where they established a range of services for patients. These included a one-stop chest pain clinic, a diagnostic angiography and pacing service, transoesophageal echo, stress perfusion echocardiography, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT.

Dr Leatham is a Director and Founder of the Surrey Cardiovascular Clinic. Until October 2021, they were one of six cardiologists responsible for the NHS Guildford Coronary Care Unit (CCU). They were also an honorary consultant at Frimley Park NHS Trust and The Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where they treated patients with angioplasty and coronary stents. Dr Leatham is also co-founder of the Heart and Stroke Trust Endeavour (HASTE) charity.

Dr Leatham can no longer offer Invasive Coronary Angiography, PCI or Pacing. However, they continue to provide expert advice and consultation along with outpatient specialist testing. This includes Echocardiography, Stress ECG and Cardiac CT angiography.

Dr Leatham holds an MA from Cambridge University, MBBS and MD degrees, and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
