Dr Dinuke Warakaulle

I'm a Consultant Radiologist with interests in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.

Following basic medical training in Cambridge, I completed specialist Radiology training in Oxford, including the Oxford Interventional Radiology Fellowship.

My Diagnostic Radiology interests include Gastrointestinal, Urological, Gynaecological, Cardiac and Vascular imaging.

I perform a broad range of Interventional Radiological procedures. These include peripheral arterial angioplasty and stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair, venous and arteriovenous malformation embolisation procedures and minimally invasive treatments for cancer and pelvic pain (including fibroid embolisation, prostate artery embolisation, varicocoele embolisation and vein embolisation for pelvic congestion syndrome and varicose veins).

I have published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored book chapters and given several invited lectures.

I am a member of Council of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (2012-23)

My NHS practice is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury and Wycombe General Hospital, High Wycombe. I see Private Patients at these hospitals, and also at BMI The Chiltern Hospital, BMI The Shelburne Hospital and the Nuffiield Manor Hospital, Oxford.

I am a member of the Hampden Radiology Group (www.hampdenradiology.co.uk), which provides specialist Radiology services in Buckinghamshire.

Diseases, Medical Tests and Treatments

I also perform image guided biopsies and drainages

I insert and remove venous ports for chemotherapy
