About Dr. Fiona Tsang-Wright
Dr Fiona Tsang-Wright is a Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon, FRCS (Gen Surg), GMC 4549831. She is an NHS consultant at the Bucks Breast Unit, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and has held that post since November 2019. From July 2021 to February 2025 she was Trust Cancer Clinical Director.
She sees private patients at the Women's Health Centre on Harley Street on Thursdays, at the Women's Health Centre on King's Road in Chelsea on Fridays, and at The Chiltern Hospital in Great Missenden on Tuesday evenings. The same consultant does the assessment, the operation, and the follow-up. Where it is clinically appropriate, imaging and a biopsy are done on the day of the first visit.
She treats breast cancer and non-cancerous breast conditions in adults, and adolescent breast conditions from about the age of 12. Below that age, a paediatric surgical referral is usually more appropriate. Operations include lumpectomy (wide local excision), therapeutic mammoplasty, mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary clearance, and risk-reducing mastectomy. Implant reconstruction is planned with the cancer operation. DIEP flap reconstruction, using tissue from the abdomen, is arranged with plastic surgery colleagues. She also sees people with breast pain, cysts, fibroadenoma, mastitis, and breast asymmetry. Many non-cancerous conditions need monitoring or reassurance rather than an operation.
She qualified MBBS at King's College London in 1998, with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology with Biomedical Sciences. Her surgical training was in North West London, including Imperial College NHS Trust and The Royal Marsden Hospital. She also worked in Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong. She was awarded FRCS (Gen Surg) in 2018. She joined the GMC specialist register for general surgery on 5 September 2019.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. She sits on the Education and Training Committee and the International Committee of the Association of Breast Surgery.
