About Dr Christopher Walker
Dr Walker graduated in medicine from the University of London in 1990. He trained in anaesthesia and critical care in London based primarily at Hammersmith, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. He was a visiting senior registrar at the University of Natal, Durban 1997-98 working at King Edward VII and Wentworth Hospitals.
Dr Walker holds a substantive consultant post in anaesthesia and critical care at Royal Brompton Harefield NHS Trust where he is chairman of the department at Harefield Hospital, as well as clinical lead for acute pain and resuscitation.
Dr Walker has extensive experience in anaesthesia and critical care for all forms of surgery (excepting neurosurgery) and has a particular interest in cardiac, thoracic and lower limb anaesthesia. This includes post-operative pain management, as well as the intensive care required following cardiac surgery.
