Dr. Celine Lakra

Dr Celine Lakra is a dedicated Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine who provides comprehensive rehabilitative care to help patients regain function, mobility, and independence following complex neurological conditions or physical injury. Adopting a compassionate and patient-centred approach, Dr Lakra collaborates closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create tailored recovery plans that address each individual's unique functional, physical, and psychological goals.

Her clinical practice covers a broad spectrum of neurological and physical recovery care. Dr Lakra possesses extensive expertise in neuro-rehabilitation across level 1 and level 2 units, spinal cord injury recovery, and prosthetics and amputation rehabilitative medicine. She maintains a specialised clinical interest in managing focal spasticity, incorporating botulinum toxin therapy to alleviate muscle tightness and improve overall mobility. Additionally, she focuses on diagnosing and managing complex shoulder pain secondary to neurological injuries, utilising ultrasound-guided injection therapies to provide targeted relief and support functional rehabilitation.

Dr Lakra completed her medical training in London, graduating with distinction and honours from University College London with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She also holds a first-class honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. Dr Lakra is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and holds active membership with professional organisations, including the British Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
