Dr Ayman Eissa

Dr Ayman Eissa is a consultant in anaesthesia and pain medicine. They are a founding member of the Faculty of Pain and hold the position of Honorary Secretary of the British Pain Society. In 2016, they were recognised for their contributions to research with a National Award.

Their career has been dedicated to advancing the field of pain management. They have been actively involved in research, leading a team at Sheffield Children's Hospital and coordinating international, multi-centre research trials that are evaluating new pain medications. Furthermore, they played a key role in developing recent guidelines for the use of medical cannabis in chronic pain management.
