Dr Salmin Aseri

Dr Salmin Aseri is a highly experienced Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine with a specialist focus on interventional pain management and acute pain services. He has been working as a Consultant and Clinical Lead for Acute Pain Services at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since February 2016.

Dr Aseri was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Anaesthetics in August 2015, following advanced specialist pain training at one of the UK’s leading tertiary neuroscience centres, The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust. He subsequently achieved Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA).

In his clinical practice, Dr Aseri performs over 300 pain management procedures annually, offering evidence-based, patient-centred care for acute and chronic pain conditions. 

He is the Course Director for the national study day “Joint Management of Joint Pain”, which is approved for CPD by the Royal College of Anaesthetists, and has also served as a co-organiser of the Manchester Perioperative Symposium for the past five years. In addition, Dr Aseri contributes to academic medicine as a reviewer for BMJ Case Reports and the Emergency Medicine Journal, and has published and presented his work at both national and international levels.

In recognition of his clinical excellence and leadership, Dr Aseri was awarded Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine Consultant of the Year for North West England at the Global Health and Pharma 2019 Private Healthcare Awards.
