About Dr Audrey Ng

Dr Audrey Ng obtained her degree from the University of Wales, College of Medicine and after doing her Basic surgical training (BST), went on to train in South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, specialising in psychiatry in 2002 on the Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Hospitals rotation (GKT). Dr Ng undertook her Specialist Registrar training on the Charing Cross and St Mary's Hospitals rotation in London. She obtained her Master's degree (distinction) in Psychoanalytic Studies from The Tavistock and Portman Hospital (UEL). 

Dr Ng has vast experience gained in various medical settings including in surgical units and the emergency department. Dr Ng has been a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2010. She is dual qualified in Adult and Old age psychiatry and holds a sub-speciality accreditation in Liaison psychiatry. 

She has worked in large teaching hospitals in Liaison Psychiatry teams; Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals and later West Middlesex Unversity Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundations Trust where she has set up teams and award winning innovative clinical models for the NHS. 

She offers patient centred treatment for a range of mental health conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, cognitive impairment, and disorders related to physical health issues. She diagnoses and manages ADHD. She is interested in women's mental and physical health and uses lifestyle medicine alongside her clinical qualifications.

Dr Ng has published in the fields of psychodermatology, self harm in young people and on psychoanalytical aspects of dementia. In 2019 Dr Ng and her team were awarded the first place in the National Awards for Positive Practice Mental Health Collaborative for innovating a new clinical model for the mental health of older adults.
