Very professional and very skillful

This is the second time Dr Aslam has carried out Mohs surgery on me. Him and his entire team are absolutely fantastic! Extremely professional, attentive and personable. His work is always perfect!

I have a history of several basal cell carcinomas and have been left waiting much too long for an NHS appointment. This led me to seek a private appointment and given my history I've seen lots of NHS and private dermatologists. But this visit to Dr Aslam was by far the best experience ever. He was incredibly thorough and this really gave me confidence. He is fantastic and I will be going to him for all my future skin checks.

My complete experience with Dr Aslam from consultation to surgery was excellent - cannot recommend him highly enough. I was very worried how my nose would look after surgery, however I am delighted with the results. He put me at ease, explained the options and advised me what he thought would be my best option. 6 weeks on my nose has healed very well and Dr Aslam has contacted me several times to check that all is well. Dr Aslam is a brilliant doctor, an expert in his field and has a friendly personality who describes your condition thoroughly and gives you a plan on your treatment options and then arranges your treatment very quickly. What can I say about Doctor Aslam – this guy is amazing! No review I could write would do his work with Mohs microsurgery the justice it deserves. It’s very rare that you find a doctor who is so incredibly clever and yet he combines this perfectly with care and compassion. Both of my Mohs procedures worked on the first attempt. Dr Aslam freezes the tissue removed and checks all of the cancer cells are removed. Not only is it re-assuring to know the whole cancer area is gone with the smallest wound, but the skill shown by Doctor Aslam ensures the scarring will be minimal. He even considers things like eyebrow alignment and how the scar will look. I really don’t know how he does it but it is sheer perfection! This visit I had twenty stitches to my cheek and reconstruction. I am amazed how fast the wound has healed and with very little scarring. I write this review two weeks following my visit but actually I could have written it after day one as I had no doubt at all that the outcome would be brilliant, Dr Aslam’s skill is amazing. I can honestly say the professionalism and care I have received both times has been outstanding. It’s the little touches like the follow up phone call to check everything’s okay that mean so much. Dr Aslam described exactly what he intended to do and carried out the surgery in a painless and highly professional manner. My wound was the size of a 5p piece and very deep, despite approx 20 internal and 20 external stitches I took no pain killers. Within 14 days the wound was not even tender to touch and has healed incredibly well. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this surgeon.

I am grateful my GP recommended Dr Aslam who performed Mohs surgery on my central nose for a basal cell skin cancer. He was very calming and made me feel at ease. Considering I had so many stitches now you cannot see where the surgery was done. It's perfect. I highly recommend Dr Aslam and his team for providing excellent patient care.
