Dr Aslam was amazing through the whole process. From my initial consultation, to surgery and after care. He was so friendly, personable and professional putting me at ease, describing the whole process thoroughly. He answered all my questions, took the time to listen and acknowledge my feelings. The team he works with are amazing too. Everyone I met was so compassionate and caring. I had a Mohs surgery and although surgery can be worrying, Dr Aslam and his team made me feel very relaxed, reassured and cared for. I couldn't have picked a better consultant.

I attended Burnley Laser Clinic at the end of May having had a basal cell carcinoma on the nasal alar crease confirmed, following a punch biopsy. Dr Aslam talked through the Mohs surgery procedure and explained each step and the potential that more than one procedure may be required but each would be completed same day. With this in mind I was advised I may need to be there most of the day. I opted to attend in the morning to accommodate this possibility. On arriving at the clinic for 8am we were welcomed by the reception staff and immediately put at ease with refreshments. I was called to see Dr Aslam within 10-15 minutes and was greeted by two very friendly and chatty nurses (I am chatty so this immediately put me at ease). Again Dr Aslam explained what he would be doing, the anaesthetic injections can be daunting but having had these elsewhere previously, Dr Aslam takes such care in executing this part of the procedure it was over and fully numb within minutes. Once numb you cannot feel a thing. I had the first incision and removal and this was cauterised and bandaged and I returned to reception whilst the testing of the removed cells took place. I then was recalled and unfortunately had to have a further removal as cells were still present, the same procedure was repeated and I again returned to reception. Thankfully this concluded all cells had been removed but I now had a wound site circa 1cm in diameter. Dr Aslam explained I had four options; to leave to heal (too large an area), to suture closed (would cause the nose to longer align symmetrically), to skin...

Today I went to see Dr Aslam six weeks after he did Mohs surgery to the side of my nose. The results are terrific. No one can tell I have had anything done. The scar is healing really well and I am delighted with the result. The whole team were superb.

I found Dr Aslam very calm and he explained things easily and clearly. I found the whole process painless, quick and efficient. The fact you find out your results on the day gives you peace of mind immediately. All the staff were friendly and as a result I was put at ease.

At 83, I was naturally anxious about having surgery on my nose since it is such a noticeable part of my face. Dr Arif Aslam carried out my Mohs surgery at the clinic in Burnley. I am absolutely delighted with the result, the wound has healed beautifully and after only eight weeks the scar is virtually invisible. I honestly never imagined it would look this good. Dr Aslam was very kind, reassuring and professional throughout and I felt I was in very safe hands.

Dr Aslam did Mohs surgery for me on my right eyelid. The result is superb. You cannot tell anything every happened. The whole team were wonderful.

It is now four months since I had Mohs micrographic surgery for the skin cancer on my nose. I received such wonderful treatment and such good aftercare instructions which I followed when I came home. Many many thanks for all you did for me. The result even after firs taking the bandages off was very good. It was painless having the stitches removed. Now four months afterwards with massaging there is no scar and nobody can tell I've had the operation. I appreciated your care and skill. It was so kind and thoughtful.

The whole Mohs procedure was seamless from start to finish and the result is outstanding.
