Dr Dharmendra Garg

Dr Dharmendra Garg is an experienced Consultant General Surgeon specialising in minimally invasive gastrointestinal and colorectal procedures. Dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, Dr Garg provides comprehensive surgical management for a wide spectrum of abdominal and bowel conditions. His clinical approach combines advanced surgical techniques with clear, reassuring communication, ensuring that patients feel thoroughly supported and informed at every stage of their treatment journey.

In his clinical practice, Dr Garg focuses on keyhole and complex surgical procedures. His core areas of expertise include laparoscopic colorectal surgery, emergency general surgery, and transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEMS) for early-stage rectal cancer. He also possesses specialist knowledge in laparoscopic single-port surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, surgical management of colorectal cancer, and multi-visceral pelvic surgery.

Dr Garg completed his foundational medical training, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Master of Surgery (MS) degrees, before undertaking a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Newcastle. He subsequently attained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
