About Mrs Deborah Quayle

Mrs. Deborah Quayle is a highly skilled Consultant ENT Surgeon with a focus on both paediatric and adult ear, nose, and throat conditions. Based at Bradford Royal Infirmary, she provides expert care and surgical interventions for a wide range of ENT issues.

In her paediatric practice, Mrs. Quayle specialises in treating conditions such as ear infections, glue ear, tonsillitis, sleep apnea, nasal blockage, nose bleeds, neck lumps, and voice changes. She performs surgeries including adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, grommet insertion, airway examination, and repair of perforated ear drums. Additionally, she conducts various clinic-based procedures for children, including nasal cautery, ear wax removal, and tongue tie division.

For adult patients, Mrs. Quayle has a particular interest in voice and swallowing disorders, along with expertise in the non-surgical management of common ENT conditions such as nasal blockage, throat conditions, and ear infections/wax problems.

With a wealth of experience, Mrs. Quayle has completed over 2,500 adult and paediatric ENT surgical procedures during her training. Since her appointment as a consultant, she has performed over 500 tonsillectomies, 350 adenoidectomies, and 300 grommet procedures, among others. She also leads a neonatal tongue tie service and has conducted over 300 tongue tie divisions in outpatient settings.

Mrs. Quayle graduated from Leeds Medical School in 2004 and completed her higher surgical training in the West Yorkshire area. She further enhanced her expertise in Paediatric ENT during her time at Sheffield Children's Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. She holds a medical doctorate from the University of Hull, obtained through her research studies.

Currently, as the Clinical Lead for ENT at Bradford and Airedale hospitals, Mrs. Quayle plays a pivotal role in overseeing ENT services and serves as the Chair of the Paediatric Surgical Committee for the Bradford Trust.
