Dr Darren Bresnen

Dr Darren Bresnen is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive care for children and young people. As an experienced Clinical Lead in inpatient paediatrics, he is committed to delivering high-quality medical services that address a wide range of childhood illnesses and health concerns. His clinical practice encompasses general paediatrics, inpatient care, and paediatric emergency medicine, ensuring that young patients receive prompt and reassuring support during critical times.

In addition to his core paediatric work, Dr Bresnen has a keen interest in advanced clinical procedures and child welfare. He has pursued specialised training in paediatric oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGD) to expand his diagnostic capabilities for gastrointestinal issues in children. Dr Bresnen is also deeply committed to safeguarding and child protection, having contributed to medical research highlighting the importance of recognising dental neglect and other subtle indicators of child maltreatment in emergency settings.

Dr Bresnen completed his medical education at the University of Manchester, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 1998. Demonstrating his ongoing commitment to excellence in child health, he achieved membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) in London in 2003.
