Dr Daniel Anderson is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in all areas of psychiatric diagnosis in adults and the elderly. He is also a dual-trained psychodynamic psychotherapist and group analyst, which allows him to offer personalised treatment formulations that go beyond diagnosis. He is particularly interested in themes relating to sexuality, gender, trauma, abuse, relationships, and neuropsychiatric conditions such as dementia and brain injury. He sees private patients at Hampden House and The Christie Private Care in Manchester. He also holds online consultations.

Dr Anderson received his medical degree from the University of Aberdeen, after which he pursued a Master's degree in Psychoanalytic Studies. He subsequently completed his psychiatric training in the United Kingdom while undertaking his PhD in Educational Psychology and Cultural Studies, where he obtained knowledge and skills in analytic approaches to sexuality and gender. He also undertook his Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Anglia Ruskin University during this time. He then became a consultant at the Christie NHS Trust and has since worked with a variety of patients for the psychiatric management of cancer, dementia, and old age.

Dr Anderson has since become Medical Director for an independent hospital, highly rated by the Care Quality Commission. He is also an active member of the medical education community and undertakes research at the University of Manchester.
