Dr Dana Beasley

Dr Dana Beasley is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people. With a clinical focus on general paediatrics, she is committed to supporting the health, growth, and development of her young patients. In addition to her general paediatric practice, Dr Beasley has a particular clinical interest in high dependency care and paediatric rheumatology, acting as a vital local link to ensure children with complex rheumatological conditions receive coordinated, multidisciplinary care.

Beyond her direct clinical work, Dr Beasley is a passionate advocate for children's health, wellbeing, and rights. She plays an active role in shaping national healthcare policy and strengthening the voice of paediatricians. Her leadership in child health advocacy is reflected in her prominent national roles, where she works collaboratively with healthcare partners and government bodies to address health inequalities, tackle childhood poverty, and promote preventative health strategies to ensure every child has the foundation for a healthy life.

Dr Beasley completed her extensive postgraduate medical training in paediatrics within Wales, developing deep expertise in managing acute and chronic childhood illnesses. She is a registered specialist with the General Medical Council and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Demonstrating her commitment to leadership and policy development, she serves as the Co-Officer for Wales for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, having previously contributed as the Deputy Officer. She is also actively involved in medical education, helping to train and mentor the next generation of paediatric doctors.
