Dr. Damon Mason

Dr Damon Mason is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist based in Shropshire. He has extensive experience in neuropsychology and rehabilitation, as well as working with adjustment disorders or in a psychotherapy context. He also has a specialist interest neurodegeneration, head injury and post-concussion syndrome.

After graduating in Hyman Psychology from Aston University in 1992, he completed a Master's degree at the University of Reading in Research Methods in Psychology. For a number of years he worked in psychological research, before qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2005. He worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Bradford District Care Trust NHS Trust for a number of years, before being appointed as a Consultant at South Staffordshire & Shropshire NHS Trust in 2012. He is currently the Senior Clinician for Dementia Psychology at the trust. Alongside his clinical work, he has worked as a psychologist for the British Horseracing Authority for over 10 years, assessing post-concussion injuries and return to riding status.
