About Priory Hospital Ticehurst House

The Priory Hospital Ticehurst was founded an impressive 225 years ago. Set in 48 acres of landscaped gardens in a small East Sussex village, calmness and reflection lead the way at this excellent facility. And that means you enjoy a highly therapeutic environment, a lovely place that's perfect for specialist private treatment for a range of mental health challenges. You might be depressed or anxious, stressed or suffering from an addiction. They can help you if so. Outpatient support is available for addictions, and they have a close relationship with Life Works, ideal for treating eating disorders on an outpatient basis. Residential treatment is yours at Highlands, and you can get flexible private outpatient appointments at the Lodge Therapy Centre. Dedicated teams of consultant psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, therapists and mental health nurses collaborate to develop a tailored treatment plan that taps into your unique situation, and personalised treatment plans usually mean faster recovery. You are unique, after all, and you deserve to be treated that way. The Priory Ticehurst puts you at the heart of treatment decisions. No matter how difficult your mental health problem seems, the people at The Priory will understand where you're coming from, and they'll know how to help.

The staff here are absolutely incredible. The nurses, doctors, the HCAs, the psychiatrists, the therapy team, the housekeeping, cooks, management and admin are second to none. I am truly grateful to everyone for assisting in my recovery and for treating me with such compassion and kindness.

I found the group therapy sessions helpful, and all of the staff very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I would have liked to have more 1:1 sessions, however I will continue outpatient treatment when I ho home.

The staff were always friendly. The process helped me and the outpatient treatment will continue that work. A couple of things to note. The food was hit and miss and the shower was poor.

My story is one of relapse, something that I never thought would happen to me, so it was quite a surprise when I did! However, The Priory @ Ticehurst were there to pick me up without judgment. This support has helped me to recover and learn the signs of relapse a lot sooner. So thank you.

Some parts could do with updating especially showers. Felt safe in property & privacy from others when needed.
