Dr Chrisvan Koen

Dr Chrisvan Koen is a general adult psychiatrist with extensive experience in both NHS and private practice.

In private practice since 2011, Dr Koen specialises in treating and managing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, social communication problems, personality difficulties, eating disorders, and self-harming behaviour.

He has developed an integrated approach with local psychologists and psychotherapists to provide a holistic approach to treatment. Additionally, he has a special interest in the assessment and management of individuals with self-harming behaviour, personality difficulties, and eating disorders.

Dr Koen also has experience in assessing autistic spectrum disorders and works closely with clinical psychologists specializing in these conditions.
