Dr. Craig Hickson

Dr. Craig Hickson is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon who provides comprehensive care for patients presenting with a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. Specialising in otology, rhinology, balance disorders, and hearing implant surgery, he delivers patient-centred medical and surgical care tailored to individual needs. Dr. Hickson is dedicated to offering reassuring and clear guidance, helping patients navigate complex symptoms with confidence and clarity.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Hickson treats a broad spectrum of ENT conditions, ranging from routine nosebleeds and chronic rhinitis to complex vestibular diseases such as Ménière's disease and superior semicircular dehiscence syndrome. He performs a wide variety of specialist procedures, including microsuction ear wax removal, myringotomy, eardrum repair, septoplasty, tonsillectomy, and excision of lesions from the external ear. His advanced surgical focus encompasses intricate middle ear operations, lateral skull-base procedures, and hearing implant surgery.

Dr. Hickson began his higher education at the University of Bath, graduating with a First-Class Master's degree in Engineering, before obtaining his medical degree (MBChB) from Warwick Medical School. He completed extensive specialist surgical training in London and South East England, during which he also earned a Master's degree in Surgery. To further refine his expertise, he completed an internationally competitive fellowship in otology, lateral skull-base, and hearing implant surgery. Dr. Hickson is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) and maintains an active research portfolio, having published extensively on balance disorders, middle ear pathology, and advanced surgical techniques.
