About Mr Henry Sharp
Mr Henry Sharp is a Consultant ENT Surgeon, with 30 years of experience in treating all aspects of Ear, Nose and Throat complaints.
In addition, he has sub-specialist expertise of the medical and surgical treatment of issues that arise with the structure and function of the nose. His specialist surgical expertise lies in septoplasty (surgery to improve the nasal airway), rhinoplasty (a 'nose-job', or operation to alter the shape of the nose) and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (F.E.S.S). This is surgery performed on the nose and sinuses for long standing sinus problems and nasal polyps.
Mr Sharp qualified as a doctor in 1990 from St Thomas' Hospital in London. He went on to complete his basic ENT Specialist training in Oxford and at Charing Cross and The Brompton Hospitals in London. Subsequent to this, he then completed his ENT higher Specialist training at Guys', St Thomas' and Kings Hospitals, and received sub-specialist Paediatric ENT training at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and The Evelina Children's Hospital at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London. In 2003, sponsored by The Royal Society of Medicine, Henry undertook a Fellowship in advanced sinus surgery and facial plastic surgery with Professor Wolfgang Draf at his internationally renowned centre in Fulda, Germany.
Mr Sharp has long standing interest in teaching and research, and was The Royal College of Surgeons ENT Surgery College Tutor, an Educational Supervisor and Honorary Clinical Tutor to Guy's, St Thomas' and King's Hospital Medical School for 15 years in East Kent Hospitals.
Henry was an elected member of the Council of the British Rhinological Society, representing all the UK nose and sinus Surgical Consultant body from 2021 to 2024.

In October 2025, I had a septoplasty, as well as a functional endoscopic sinus surgery. Mr. Sharp was very reassuring and professional in explaining what the procedures entailed, which was carried out with very little post-operative pain or discomfort.
