Dr Christin Eltze

Dr Christin Eltze is an accomplished Consultant Paediatric Neurologist and Epileptologist specialising in complex childhood neurological disorders and difficult-to-treat epilepsy. Serving as a Specialty Lead for Epilepsy and Children's Epilepsy Surgery Services, she provides dedicated expert care to infants, children, and young adults facing complex neurological challenges. Dr Eltze is committed to delivering compassionate, structured, and evidence-based care tailored to the individual needs of young patients and their families.

Her primary clinical focus encompasses complex paediatric epilepsy, early-onset seizure disorders, and presurgical evaluations for children with drug-resistant seizures. Dr Eltze works extensively with non-pharmacological treatments, including dietary therapies such as ketogenic diet programmes, as well as vagus nerve stimulation and surgical assessments. Alongside her clinical duties, she actively contributes to clinical research investigating seizure outcomes, epilepsy surgery effectiveness, and the epidemiology of infancy-onset epilepsies.

Dr Eltze completed her advanced medical education and specialist higher training in Paediatric Neurology and Epileptology. She holds higher qualifications including a Master of Science (MSc) and a Research Doctorate (MD Res), alongside Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). She is fully registered as a Specialist in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology.
