Dr Chinnappa Reddy

Dr Chinnappa Reddy is a dedicated Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and General Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care for patients facing complex abdominal and gastrointestinal conditions. Specialising in General Surgery with a focus on Colorectal Surgery, Dr Reddy has developed a refined clinical focus on the surgical management of colorectal cancer, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, and Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEMS). His clinical approach emphasises thorough diagnostic evaluation, personalised care plans, and clear communication to guide patients through every stage of surgical treatment.

Dr Reddy completed his foundational medical training, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Bangalore University in 1990. He subsequently attained his Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from Gujarat University in 1994, alongside a Diplomate of National Board in General Surgery. Proceeding with postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom, Dr Reddy became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1996 and completed higher surgical training in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery to achieve Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002. He maintains active professional membership with the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland.

In addition to direct patient care, Dr Reddy contributes significantly to surgical education, quality improvement, and clinical leadership. He serves as a Clinical Lead for colorectal quality improvement initiatives and acts as a Clinical Supervisor and tutor for medical students and surgical trainees.
