Dr Charlotte Tunstall

Dr Charlotte Tunstall is an accomplished Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in major trauma and complex upper limb injuries. Having previously served as a Lieutenant Colonel and General Orthopaedic Military Surgeon, Dr Tunstall brings extensive surgical expertise, clinical decision-making, and a calm, compassionate approach to patient care. She is dedicated to guiding patients through surgical procedures and acute trauma recovery with reassuring professionalism.

Dr Tunstall graduated with her medical degree from Leicester University in 2005. She completed core surgical training and subsequent higher specialty training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery within the Stoke and Oswestry rotation, earning her Certificate of Completion of Training in 2021. To further advance her clinical skills, she undertook sub-specialist fellowships in Major Trauma and Complex Upper Limb Trauma at major tertiary teaching hospitals.

Her clinical practice encompasses the treatment of severe musculoskeletal trauma, reconstructive surgery, and conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow. Dr Tunstall performs advanced trauma reconstruction, primary elbow replacement, and complex fracture management. She works alongside multidisciplinary medical teams to deliver structured, individualised rehabilitation plans that support each patient's return to optimal function and health.
