I recently had a hip replacement done by mr g whitwell and I can honestly say I have never felt better. I am so grateful he has took my pains away. He was professional and reassuring and made me feel better about the whole procedure. I would 100 percent recommend Mr G whitwell and the staff at Nuffield Leeds.

From the start I felt that I was in capable hands with Mr Whitwell. He explained the issues with my hips and my options. I chose to have total replacement of both my hips after being in constant pain for a couple of years. I am just recovering from my second surgery. His team were excellent and I was very well cared for throughout. I had very little pain and my wound healed very cleanly and quickly. Mr Whitwell has changed my life. I am now getting back to gardening, walking in nature and enjoying a pain free life. I will always be grateful for his expert care and expertise.

Excellent experience, very good 10 on 10

My recent visit for a total left hip replacement operation went really well and although nervous about the operation the process was faultless with everything explained along the way and with everyone involved very professional. Post operation was the same and my recovery was a lot shorter then I expected with my pain levels reduced below pre operation levels in less than two weeks and now I am almost completely pain free seven weeks post surgery. Mr Whitwell is an excellent surgeon and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my family and friends.

I felt very fortunate to be able to have my hip replacement operation at the Nuffield Hospital in Leeds. I was in fact an NHS patient and so I had not been expecting to be able to receive the kind of treatment that is possible in the private sector. Mr Whitwell from our first meeting made me feel confident in what was going to be happening. He was very clear in his description of the procedure and in doing so allayed any of my fears. In terms of my admission to hospital and the operation, everything went like clockwork. Mr. Whitwell saw me before the operation and afterwards and subsequently I’ve had another consultation with him to check that all has gone well. In every meeting he has been polite, friendly and very professional. I would have every confidence in placing myself in his hands again.
